Optically the Megrez 72 has been first class form the very beginning.

The new DDG focuser is stronger and less prone to slipping than other 2" Crayford focusers commonly available, increasing the scopes potential as a decent little portable astrograph.

When combined with a suitable flattener we think the Megrez 72 is one of the best little APO/Astrographs available.

William Optics Megrez 120 FPL 53 Doublet APO

The Megrez 120 uses a very high quality 120mm F7.5 FPL 53 doublet lens that has been thoroughly tested and evaluated.

The scope will prove to be very versatile both visually and for astro imagers with its 900mm focal length bringing in range lots of targets unsuitable for imaging with shorter focal length scopes but the scope can also be used at F6 with the Flattener IV or at F6.4 with an alternative flattener/reducer we can supply. Both flatteners will provide pinpoint styars across the field of a DSLR or larger format CCD camera.

The colour correction is excellent and this scope is ideal for low and high power visual use and deep sky CCD or DSLR imaging.

Included with the Megrez 120 is the new uprated DDG dual speed Crayford focuser* a set of CNC tube rings and a soft carry case.
